Our work on public safety and health focuses on considering sustainable avenues of municipal finance that be used to enhance the safety and health of a citizenry through protection, services, response, and education. We consider, examine, and evaluate policies and investment strategies that result in sustainable levels of funding and which also are attentive to the needs of the most vulnerable, with a lens towards equity. We also consider the extent to which public finance can drive positive and necessary investments that further health equity and social determinants of health outcomes in communities that are positive.
